Privacy policy

Lemo Player is a player for your own IPTV playlist. This policy explains in plain words what the app keeps, what it fetches and who it talks to. It covers Lemo Player on iPhone and iPad.
At a glance
No account to create. No analytics, no record of what you watch, nothing sold to anyone. Your playlists and everything you save stay on this device. The app talks only to your IPTV provider, our small settings file, the scores service, Google's ad network on the free plan, and Apple and RevenueCat when you buy Lemo Max.
What stays on this device
Lemo Player keeps these in its private storage on your iPhone or iPad:
• your playlists: name, server URL, username and password, M3U link, the copy of an imported M3U file and any TV guide link you add
• favorites, lists, resume points (Continue watching), recent channels and pinned categories
• the reminders you set
• kids-lock rules and the PIN, stored only as a salted hash, never as the digits
• your settings: language, caption style, sort orders, compact rows, auto-next and fullscreen
• a cache of the TV guide and of channel logos and posters
None of it is sent to us. Like any app's data it can be part of your device backups, and it is erased when you delete the app.
Your IPTV provider
Lemo Player connects straight from your device to the server of the playlist you add; no server of ours sits in between. To load categories, channels, movies, series, the guide and the streams, it sends that server your username and password (Xtream Codes) or opens your link (M3U), with a User-Agent naming the app and its version. Your provider sees these requests, your IP address and what you play, as any streaming service would. Its own privacy policy and terms apply, and we have no access to your account with it.
The remote settings file
At launch the app downloads a small settings file from our server. It turns ads on or off, sets how often they appear, lists the leagues shown first in Scores and holds the support address. The request carries nothing about you. Like every web request it reaches the server with your IP address, which we don't use to identify you.
The TV guide
For Xtream Codes playlists the programme guide comes from your provider's server. For M3U playlists it is downloaded from the guide links named in the playlist and from the guide link you add. The guide is cached on this device so it opens fast, and it is refreshed when it gets old or when you tap Refresh guide. Catch-up programmes are streamed from your provider like any other stream.
Reminders
When you tap Remind me, Lemo Player schedules a local notification on this device, five minutes before the programme starts. iOS asks for your permission the first time. Reminders never leave the device, and they are cancelled when you cancel them or remove their playlist.
Live scores
The Scores channel shows football results from Holoduke's football service, used with its owner's permission. To fetch a day's matches the app sends the date, your time-zone offset and the app's name and version; match pages, team crests and flags are fetched the same way. Nothing about you, your playlist or what you watch is sent. When you tap Watch on a match, the search for a channel runs on this device, inside your own playlist. Scores are held in memory for a minute or so and never saved. The app never shows betting or odds.
Ads and tracking
On the free plan, Lemo Player shows ads from Google AdMob: one when the app opens, a full-screen ad after some of the taps that start playback, and small ad cards in lists. Where the law asks for it (for example in the European Economic Area and the UK), Google's consent form (UMP) asks for your choice first. iOS also asks whether the app may track you across other companies' apps and websites (App Tracking Transparency). Say no and ads are less personal; every channel works the same either way. Google may collect device identifiers, your IP address and how you interact with ads, under its own privacy policy. Change your choice in Settings › Privacy › Ad privacy choices (where offered) and in iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. Lemo Max switches every ad off.
Lemo Max purchases
Lemo Max is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple takes the payment; we never see your card or your Apple ID. RevenueCat, the service that checks the subscription for us, receives an anonymous app ID and Apple's purchase receipt so the app knows whether Lemo Max is on and can restore it on another device. RevenueCat's privacy policy applies to that data.
Email support
If you write to lemoplayer@gmail.com, we receive your address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it only to answer you, keep it no longer than that takes, and never add you to a mailing list. Please never send your playlist password.
Children and the kids lock
Lemo Player isn't made for children and collects nothing about them, or about anyone. What it shows depends entirely on the playlist you add. The kids lock hides sections, categories or single channels behind a 4-digit PIN; its rules and the PIN's salted hash stay on this device.
Your choices and rights
Everything the app keeps is in your hands:
• remove a playlist in Settings › Library › Playlists, and its favorites, lists, resume points, recent channels, pins, kids-lock rules, reminders and guide cache go with it
• clear the active playlist's history with Settings › Library › Clear watch history
• change ad privacy choices in Settings and tracking in iOS Settings
• delete the app to erase everything at once
We hold no data about you on a server, so there is nothing for us to export or delete. For data held by Google, Apple, RevenueCat or your provider, ask them directly.
Changes
If the way the app handles data changes, we update this policy in the app and the date at the top. Important changes are also mentioned in the update notes on the App Store.
